Leather artisan, Bruce Brock, was born a cowboy. Growing up in Kansas, he was blessed by the Creator with the passion and gifts for art and leather craftsmanship in addition to working livestock. Back in the 1980s he worked on an 80,000-acre ranch in eastern Colorado. Daily up-close interaction with the beauty of the land, the wildlife, horses and cattle as well as people he met, greatly influenced his life. These experiences provided a rich source of material for his artwork. In his work, you find detail that can only come from being part of the scene, not just looking at the scenery.

As a full-time working cowboy, he helps work over 10,000 head of cattle each year. Bruce knows how ranch equipment works and what quality is needed to survive the rigors of real ranch work. For nearly a quarter century, he has been making and repairing anything leather--from rebuilding saddles to stitching up ladies' purses.

Bruce also creates real-life vignettes of cowboy life with various media including pen and ink, pencil, and watercolor. He carries those images onto leather and anything else that will hold still long enough. Bruce believes "every good and perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17) and is thankful to share his
God-given talents through art and leatherwork.

Whether you need a new set of chaps, a saddlebag, your favorite boots or saddle repaired, or need to find that just-right piece of cowboy art for your home or office, talking with Bruce is a good place to start. And if you talk real nice, he might be persuaded to show you a rope trick or two.
